Ryanair Cancel Newquay Flights

Ryanair has cancelled all its flights in and out of Newquay until further notice after the airport announced that it would be closed for at least three weeks in December. Air traffic control at Newquay Airport – which handles 460,000 passengers each year – is currently run by the RAF, which owns the adjacent St Mawgan airbase. A handover in control to Cornwall County Council is scheduled for December 1. However, due to delays in the completion of a new control tower, Cornwall County Council will not secure a Civil Aviation Authority license until December 20.
